SUMMARY

Stuck in lockdown with the one guy she can’t stand, what could possibly go wrong?
Seventeen-year-old Clary’s senior year has gone up in flames. Thanks to a pandemic sweeping the world, school is canceled and everyone’s going into lockdown. To top it off, her parents are stranded overseas with no way to get home.
Just when Clary thinks things can’t get any worse for her, she finds out she’s being sent into lockdown with the most irritating guy on the planet—Harford High’s notorious heartbreaker, Aiden Moore.
Sure, Aiden is gorgeous, but he’s also completely arrogant and constantly trying to get under Clary’s skin. For most girls, quarantining with Aiden would be a dream come true. For Clary, it’s a total nightmare.
But they’re about to become lockdown buddies whether Clary likes it or not, and resisting Aiden’s devilish charms might be harder than she thought.

REVIEW
We’re officially in 2026! So for my first read of 2026 I decided to read Stuck With You by Alexandra Moody who is an Australian author who is most known for her Darling Devils series. She writes YA books which are enjoyed by many.
Alexandra Moody has a talent for writing relationships that feel genuine throughout many of her novels and this book is no exception. This book follows the tropes of enemies to lovers, forced proximity and is a slow burn. The romance develops at a decent pace which allows the connection between the characters to grow rather than feeling rushed.
I also really enjoyed how both Clary and Aiden grew throughout the story. It wasn’t just about falling in love, they both had things they needed to work through, which gave the story a bit more depth. Alexandra Moody does a great job of writing characters who feel relatable, and I couldn’t help but want everything to work out for them.
This is a very easy read and something that can be read in one sitting if there is time. It took me back to the covid lockdown times with our need for bubbles and the fact that Clary and Aiden were in the same bubble and also decide to help out their neighbours as best as they can is what a lot of people did during that time as well which made it realistic. It also captures the excitement, uncertainty and emotions of first loves and this was a cute YA read that follows the enemies to lovers and forced proximity tropes.
This was a 4 star read for me which falls in line with most of the other books I’ve read from Alexandra Moody. There were a few plot points that felt a little predictable and repetitive however this was still a great read and glad that I was able to give this a read.
